As a DUPA member, you can get free access to equipment and to our library.

If you are not yet a member and would like to join the society, you can sign up here.

Renting  Policy & Process 2025/26

  1. RESERVE: Email equipment@dupa.ie to reserve the equipment you would like to rent. Please ensure that you make a booking at least 48 hours before the start of the rental period.
    • Ensure that you include the following in order to make a valid submission:
      • Phone number
      • Student number
      • Equipment request
      • Dates required

  2. CONFIRM: Quintin, the equipment officer, will respond whether or not the equipment is available; and, if not you will be placed on the waiting list for that piece of equipment or offered an alternative.

     

  3. COLLECT: Collections occur during the Equipment office hours. Collect at the agreed time with Rory and bring along the correct cash deposit and your student/staff ID card to the committee room.

  4. RETURN: One week later at the arranged time, unless otherwise instructed.

A deposit is necessary for all rentals and is returned to the member once the equipment is returned in satisfactory condition.

Accessories

The appropriate accessories will be included with each rental where necessary (bag, SD card, charger, battery, etc.), and must be returned with the equipment.

Office Hours

There are two periods of office hours throughout the week where equipment rental and return will take place. If neither of these times are suitable for you, get in touch and we will find a solution.

  • Mondays, 14:00-15:00
  • Fridays, 13:00-14:00
