Practical in approach, ‘Ilford Monochrome Darkroom Practice’ is written for use by professional, freelance and advanced amateur photographers who process and print their own negatives, as well as for specialist printers. It is heavily illustrated with fine photographs, many of which have been specially selected by Ilford. This new, revised edition, with updated information on equipment and practice, is all you need to run a professional monochrome processing and printing operation. This is an all-encompassing book on every aspect of black and white photographic processing and printing. The principles and methods described are varied for both Ilford’s and other manufacturers’ materials and apparatus. The original author, Jack Coote, sadly died during the revision of this book. Richard Platt, Keith Watson and Mike Gristwood of Ilford took up the challenge to finalize the updating and produce this third edition as a tribute to the enormous contribution Jack has made to the development of photographic processes.
